Among the activities that will be carried out under the framework  of the presidency of the city of Seville of Community of Ariane Cities, the City Hall of Seville, the Pablo de Olavide University, the University of Seville and Andalucia Emprende foundation have presented the initiative “Open Innovation Challenges”. The main objective is to promote ideas that help different companies in the sector to innovate and be more competitive in the market, solving different challenges.

Grabysur, together with the Alter Technology company, participates in this call aimed at presenting proposals for ideas addressed to students of the last two years of degree, PhD students and postgraduate students of the University of Seville and from the Pablo de Olavide University.

The challenge proposed by Grabysur is called “Reliability of Embedded systems in Aircraft vs. Space”, and is aimed at students of Aeronautics, Electronics and Industrial Technologies. The goal is to analyze the differences in the aeronautical and space environment in which both systems work, to look for points in common and the differences in the regulations associated with each area, more demanding points in each area from the mechanical, electronic and environmental point of view .

Each proposal will be presented individually. The selection criteria will go from the assessment of the level of “novelty”, the impact, viability or its technology, that is, its applicability with technical and scientific foundations related to the challenge. The winner will make a stage in Grabysur’s engineering department for 6 months.

The deadline for the presentation of the challenges will be open until March 29, 2019, and the deadline for assessment and presentation of the finalist challenges will be from April 1 to April 26, 2019.
